Reception School Uniform

Reception children wear the same school uniform every day. This supports their active outdoors curriculum and Forest School, as well as their growing independence. Find out more by following this link: https://aldrington.org/Reception-School-Uniform 

Information for all New Starters

If your child is starting at Aldrington, here is some useful information to read before they join.

New Starter Information

School Uniform Policy

Breakfast Club (drop-off 8am) / After School Club (until 6pm)

ParentPay

When your child starts school, you will be issued with ParentPay log-in details. This is the payment system we use for school lunches (for Year 3 to Year 6), trips and clubs.

SchoolPing

When your child starts school, you will be issued with SchoolPing log-in details. We use SchoolPing to communicate important news with you and to book parents' evenings. 

Caterlink Allergy and Intolerance Form

Caterlink provides Aldrington with freshly cooked meals, cooked on site, daily. If your child has an allergy, they need to know. Please fill in the Caterlink form and send it back to them directly (contact details are on the form). You can find the school menu here

All primary school children are entitled to Universal Free School Meals up to the end of Year 2.

Cool Milk

Cool Milk is available free for children under five. For older children, it is provided at a subsidised cost. Please register at www.coolmilk.com if you would like your child to have milk.

Free School Meals

If you are entitled to Free School Meals (or think you may be) you can apply via the Brighton & Hove City Council website: https://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/content/children-and-education/schools/free-school-meals 

School Streets

Aldrington is part of Brighton & Hove City Council's 'School Streets' programme, which supports the safe movement of children and families travelling to and from school. You cannot drive down Eridge Road, unless you are exempt, Monday to Friday between 8.15 - 9.15 am and 2.45 - 3.45 pm, during school term time.

Parents' Prayer Group

The Parents' Prayer Group meet every Monday in the library from 8.45am - 9am to pray for our school.  Please join them! For more information, please contact the school office.
