Year 5 recently visited Herstmonceux Space Observatory as part of a curriculum-linked trip. During the visit, we took part in a guided telescope tour and learned how astronomers explore space. We also attended a robot workshop, where we manipulated a robot similar to that used on the International Space Station. We spent time exploring a range of hands-on exhibits focusing on light, forces and electricity, including those outside despite the rain! Thank-you so much to those parents who accompanied us and helped make the visit run smoothly.
