AldringtonSpace Dome Event @ Brighton Girls
Year 5 had an exciting visit to Brighton Girls this week, where they stepped inside the Wonderdome for an immersive journey through the solar system. Surrounded by 360° projections, the children “blasted off” into space, exploring planets, stars and galaxies in an unforgettable visual experience.
The adventure continued with a hands‑on robotics workshop. Pupils used Crumble microcontrollers to code their own Mars rover robots, programming them to move and track across the floor like real planetary explorers. This practical activity put their coding skills to the test and sparked plenty of enthusiasm and teamwork.
It was a fantastic day of science and discovery, and Year 5 returned inspired and eager to learn more about space and technology.
